A: Two movements must be avoided in the installation, torsion and axial movement. Torsion can result from many apparently acceptable hose installations and will reduce the life of the hose considerably. Axial extension for a braided hose assembly is impossible as the braid prevents the hose getting longer; axial compression is also to be avoided wherever possible.
